School Council Elections 2026–2027 – Coming Soon!

We are excited to announce that our School Council for 2026–2027 will be elected very soon!

Pupils will have the opportunity to stand as candidates and be democratically voted in by their classmates. We are delighted to be working alongside Kirklees Election Services, who are supporting the school in delivering a real-life election experience. This will help our children understand the importance of democracy, one of the fundamental British Values, while giving them a meaningful opportunity to have their voices heard.

We look forward to announcing our new School Council members soon and seeing them represent the views of their peers, help shape school life, and make a positive difference across our school community.

School Librarians – Coming Soon!

We are also excited to introduce our School Librarians for the 2026–2027 academic year!

Pupils will have the opportunity to apply for this important leadership role, supporting the day-to-day running of The Reading Den. Our School Librarians will help to promote a love of reading, recommend books to their peers, keep the library organised and welcoming, and encourage everyone to make the most of this wonderful learning space.

The application and selection process will be led by Mrs Norton, our English Leader, giving pupils the chance to demonstrate responsibility, leadership and a passion for reading.
