The Reading Den

The Reading Den

We are incredibly proud of our wonderful Reading Den Library, which has been developed through the Literacy Trust Libraries for Primaries Programme.

Our library has become a vibrant and inspiring space where children can discover a love of reading, explore new books, and enjoy sharing stories together. It is already making a real difference to our pupils, encouraging a lifelong passion for literacy.

We were honoured to celebrate the opening of our library with Conrad Burdekin, who officially opened the Reading Den. Since then, we have also welcomed Kate Pankhurst, the acclaimed children's author and illustrator, the Mayor of West Yorkshire, and representatives from The Literacy Trust, who have all visited to see the impact the library is having on our school community.

We are extremely grateful to the Literacy Trust Libraries for Primaries Programme for helping us create such a fantastic space. Our Reading Den Library is a place where every child can enjoy the magic of books, and we are proud to see it at the heart of our school's commitment to developing confident, enthusiastic readers.
