Kinetic Letters
Handwriting at Our School
At our school, we use Kinetic Letters as our chosen handwriting programme from Reception through to Year 6. We believe that handwriting is about much more than forming letters neatly—it is about developing the physical foundations that enable children to write confidently, comfortably and fluently.
Kinetic Letters is based on the understanding that children need strong core stability, good posture and well-developed fine and gross motor skills before they can achieve fluent handwriting. Through fun, engaging activities, pupils build these essential physical skills alongside learning correct letter formation and joins.
The impact of Kinetic Letters across our school has been incredible. We have seen significant improvements in the quality and presentation of handwriting, as well as increased writing stamina and confidence. The programme has also had a positive effect on children's core strength, coordination and posture, providing benefits that extend far beyond handwriting lessons.
We are proud of the progress our pupils make through Kinetic Letters, enabling them to become confident, fluent writers who are equipped with the physical skills they need to succeed across the curriculum.
